Hello world this is Kristine Ann Melendez with these words to say. As I said in my blog in the past I am going to graduate with my former GED high school Access. I'm still honored to be part of this special event and it's going to be AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! The graduation is going to be on Tuesday June 22ND, 2010. I can't wait to go and I'm ready for it. I even picked out the dress I'm going to wear. To be honest I picked out that dress last year because I thought I was going to get my diploma before the Access graduation of 2009. Sadly I didn't pass the math part of the GED test in June of 2009. But that was then and this is now. I'm going to wear my hair down because every graduation from grade school all the way to my old high school's graduation my mom has always picked out my hair style for all my graduations in the past. When I graduate from P.S. 158 at the age of ten in the year 1998 my mom had me wear a big white clip on bow in my hair. I felt like a birthday present at my own graduation. When I graduate from M.S. 167 at the age of 13 in the year 2001 I wore curls so wild and crazy that my cap didn't fit right. I blame my mom for that so thanks mom!!!!!!!!!!! When I graduate from Humanities at the age of 17 in the year 2005 my mom tricked me into wearing this gross hair gel that was brown like poop for some hairstyle that she thought was cute. I thought it was lame and pointless. Now that I'm finally graduating from Access I told my mom she is not allow to pick out my hair style for this graduation. However I did need her help for what kind of accessories to wear. I bought these pretty clip on earrings that dangle. Just to let you all know I never piered my ears and I never will. Everyone I know is happy and proud of me for all the hard work I put into earning for my GED diploma. It wasn't easy but I knew if I do my best I can accomplish anything I put my mind to. Now that I'm going to graduate from Access I would just like to say to my all my teachers at my former GED high school thanks for always believing in me when there were times I didn't believe in myself when I always thought I was going to fail the GED test. Plus I want to thank Mr. Rishi who told me to buy a GED Math calculator because it was the most helpful device for when I was studying for the math part of the GED test for four long weeks before I took the test on Monday November 16TH, 2009. I look forward to seeing all my teachers and of course my fellow graduates of the graduation class of 2010.
Hello to the blogging world I have these words to say. I Kristine Ann Melendez has decided to go to college. That's right folks I'm gonna be a college student. This is how I decided to apply. Monday May 3RD, 2010 I went to my former school Access to get measured for a cap and gown. I'm going to be part of the graduation which I'm very happy about. I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!!!!! After my cap and gown measurement I went to see my former teachers and they are so proud that I passed and all my teachers wanted a copy of my diploma which they got. Ms. Lopez who was my science teacher told me to go to Ms. Ortiz to apply for college. Decisioning to apply for college was most likely the best decision I've ever made. I hope I get accepted to the colleges of my choices because I don't want to be a bump on a log. Wish me luck with what I'm going to do with my life.
Hi everyone who is a blogger. Friday April 9TH, 2010 I got some news that made me a happy camper. I got a call from the principal Ms. Linda Correnti who is the principal of Access GED which is the school I attend from September of 2008 to June of 2009. As I said in my past blog entries I always wanted my GED diploma that way I could be part of the graduation that Access has once a year for the people who passed the GED test. As you know I didn't pass the GED test I took in June of 2009 which was sad for me because I really wanted to be in the graduation. I was upset about not passing in June but I knew I had to keep trying. In October of 2009 before my 22ND birthday I printed out an application to take the test again which was very easy to find online. I got a card 3 weeks later and next thing you know I'm studying like crazy to take the math part of the GED test. Ms. Linda called my home and I was shocked to hear from her. I didn't pick up because I was taking a nap and I didn't hear my house phone ring. It was my mom who woke me up telling me that I have an important message from my former school. I was like, "are you serious?" and my mom said, "yes I'm serious". So I got out bed to listen to the message Ms. Linda left for me. She wanted me to call her back so we could talk about graduation. In the back of my mind I was screaming for joy because I always wanted to be part of the graduation. As soon as I was done I looked for this bright green card that I got from Access reminding me that a new school year was starting and I was suppost to come back. As nice as if would of been to attend a other year of Access my 22ND birthday was coming and I had to respect the rule that only a person 21 and under could attend. I called up Ms. Linda and she was happy to hear from me because I haven't spoken to her since September when I had to tell her I wasn't returning to Access. I told her my scores and Ms. Linda was thrilled that I passed math. She told me that she was going to send me something in the mail soon with more details about graduation. I look forward to getting it in the mail and like the title of my post said I'm honored.
Hello to all that blog. For today's post I'm going to write about an issue I have. As you all know from a post entitled I'm so freaking happy I received my GED diploma on Monday December 14TH, 2009. Besides from me saying I can finally plan for the future it's been a little over three months since I got my diploma and I still have no idea what I want to do with my life. At first I tried to look for a job but that blew up in my face and me finding a job has ended up in failure to find one. I know that since I now have a GED diploma I can go to college if I wanted. The problem is every time I get online to those college websites I get so nervous that I log off. Plus I heard that college is very expensive and my older sister Jessica told me that if I apply for financial aid I would have to pay $100.00 dollars for the application. I wonder if there is a way for me to apply for financial aid without paying for it? I would like to do something with my life but I have no clue what to do. If any of my former teachers are reading this post please tell me what do you think I should do? Please help a young lady that wants to do something with her life but is undecided. In other words I need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello to everyone who blogs. I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day. I know I did with my boyfriend Angel. Valentine's Day is also my anniversey when Angel and I started dating. It has now been three wonderful years. I started Valentine's Day by doing one of the things I do best and that is baking. Angel loves whatever I bake because it's always made with love and most of the time chocolate. Angel really likes chocolate a lot which is why I call him a chocolatic. I bake sugar cookies and chewy fugde brownies. I was going to bake sugar cookies with pretty red and pink hearts but the supermarket that I wanted to buy them from only had Easter cookies. What kind of dum supermarket sells Easter cookies in February? Easter is not until Sunday April 4TH, 2010 and the supermarket that I wanted to buy Valentine's Day cookies from started to sell cookies for Easter. I was mad and both my mom and I realized that we should of bought Valentine's Day cookies sooner. I bought plain sugar cookies instead since I didn't find what I really wanted. One of my friend's Fiorella came over to give me a Valentine's Day present. She gave me a Hello Kitty doll wearing a yellow dress and a box of yogurt from her mother's job. The doll is really cute and the yogurt was really good. I gave Fiorella a little Valentine's Day dog, a small box of chocolate and a bag of brownies and sugar cookies that I made. We chilled in my house for a while and we were watching the movie Coraline. Fiorella said she said never seen Coraline and she enjoyed it very much. After Fiorella went home my boyfriend Angel came and we gave each other gifts. I gave Angel a new action figure, a chocolate rose, two small boxes of chocolates, a little teddy bear and a bag of cookies and brownies which made Angel very happy. I got a red Hello Kitty trinket box, the essential book of useless information, a red rose, a Valentine's Day balloon, a box of chocolates with cherry filling and a small box of chocolate inside a heart shape box with roses on it. Before we went out to dinner Angel and I watched The Nightmare Before Christmas that Angel gave me for Christmas. When the movie finished we left to go to dinner at this resturant Angel pick out. We went to this resturant called Ruby's Foo. We got to Ruby Foo at 8:17 p.m. but since it was Valentine's Day there was a lot of people at the resturant but Angel did the smart thing by making a reservation in advance. However we still had to wait for an hour. When Angel and I finally got a table we ordered Chicken Stir Fry and it was great. Angel and I had a wonderful night and the food was awesome. Our Valversey was wonderful and I look forward to next year.
Hello to the people out there who blog. For today's post I'm going to write about two characters from a T.V. show I used to watch on Nickelodeon called Danny Phantom. It's about a 14 year old boy name Danny Fenton and his parents are ghost hunters and they are always making crazy inventions that are involve in what they do and that is hunt ghost. Danny's parents invent a portal to the ghost world which at first they didn't think it was working. Danny went inside of it to check it out and if seen or heard about Danny Phantom you know what happens next. A explosion in the ghost portal gives Danny ghostly powers and he becomes half ghost and the super hero Danny Phantom. In the show Danny had two best friends Sam and Tucker. However Tucker isn't in my post for today because I'm focusing on Danny's female friend Sam who is a goth girl that likes Danny a lot. I've seen all the episodes of Danny Phantom including the very last one where Danny saves the world from being destroyed and finally hooking up with Sam. I knew those two lovebirds would be together. Hello world I have these words to say. I Kristine Ann Melendez graduated from my GED High School Access on Tuesday June 22ND, 2010. I'm so happy I finally graduate. My mom, my older sister Jessica and my homegirl Fiorella came in honor of me. I woke up early this morning all happy about my special day. YAY FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!! My sister Jessica took these pictures at the graduation sight which was at St. Francis College in Brooklyn New York. That is me with my sister Jessica.
